Eve's Photography

I cannot really remember when I started to like photography, all I know is that it was a long time ago. I don’t know why I liked it so much, I don't have an educational background on Photography, I think the reason why i love it is maybe because I’m also an artist, I love to draw and paint since I was in grade school. I can always see a good frame or angle on something, to things, to people to events and especially everything about nature. It just so happen that I don’t have the money to buy a camera before or even a cellphone with camera, I cannot afford those material things. I started to really take photos when I was in college during my second course. It wasn’t even my cellfone, it was from one of my close friends and we’re also groupmates, we always hang out together and I always borrow her cellphone. Taking pictures is just so exciting and challenging for me and the results are worth it. These are some of the pictures taken black in white during our field duty. I love photoshop but as much as possible I want my pictures raw.

My groupmates, Margie and Marichu. This picture recieved two awards in Viewbug.com (both top 20 Class).

Then about a year after, I finally have my own cellphone with camera, I don’t even care if it’s only 2MP (LG KS20, already 4 years old and counting) as long as I can take photos whenever I wanted. I was just so excited when my husband bought it, I can’t wait to take my first photo.
My Hoya flower. This picture received an award from Pixoto.com  Top 20%  for a day in INSTAGRAM AND MOBILE CATEGORY.

My cousin Rose will sometimes pose for me as a model (Only the eyes were being retouched). This picture also recieved 1 Peer recognition and 9 TOP CLASS awards from Viewbug.com (EXCEPTIONAL CONTRAST, Top 20 Class in week 2, Top 30 Class in week 3, Top 30 Class in 1 month, Top 30 Class in week 5, Top 30 Class in week 6, Top 30 Class in week 7, Top 30 Class in 2 months, Top 30 Class in week 9 and Top 30 class in week 10). I mean it's a great privilege to be included eventhough I'm not first or second or in Top 10. There are a lot of Pros out there joining this competition and I'm thankful I'm recognized among the millions.

My cousins Mimi and Rose: (Only the eyes were being retouched).

My Little Kitten Yasha
And when I went to California to be with my husband, he got a digital camera, Pentax Optio A40 and I was just so excited because it was my first time to operate a digital camera. We lived in a farm on a Petaluma county, so nature is everywhere and I totally loved it so much. I endlessly took pictures like almost everyday when I'm farming. There were Lady bugs everywhere in different shades of red, i even captured on my lens a newly hatched insect which is unexpectedly yellow in color and with blurry gray spots. Hawks were everywhere trying to catch some gophers, spring time was always awesome, even the grasses have beautiful flowers. Humming Birds visit the place too, they're just from our neighbor who is licensed to rehabilitate them and release them in the wild when they're all fine.
These are some of the photos from my stay abroad:
Still winter time in cold February morning. I just love the effect of this one, it's a raw photo. It feels like the end doomsday, where the sun is about to shine.
My African Daisy, love this it's blooming crazy, bought it for like $5 at Kmart.

Apple Tree flowering like hell at springtime.

Fox Tails are everywhere and the brought a lot of trouble to animals to eat plants. Fox Tails tend to separate while  animals eat it and it will get stuck inside their throats or nostrils. It's not so pleasant if it happens which can also lead to infection and a payment to the vet.
As I was cultivating the Green Sweet Onion, ladybugs were everywhere but this one stands out and very unique in color. When I touched its wings, it's so soft, very delicate, realizing it's a newly hatched lady bug. now i know what it looks like. This picture also received two awards from Pixoto.com (Top 10% in a week and Top 20% in a month) for the NOVICES ONLY category.
